Willem Steenkamp
Founder & Director
Willem has been hands-on since the very beginning of Jebo Connect. From building the first towers and trenching fibre, to training local community members and growing them into skilled technicians — he’s done it all.
He is passionate about creating opportunities in the Overberg and developing local talent to keep the network strong and sustainable.
Willem lives in Struisbaai and loves camping along the Orange River, enjoying quality family time in nature.
Pierre van Wyk
Co-Founder & Director
Pierre has been an IT expert from a young age, and he has played a crucial role in building Jebo Connect’s world-class network. His focus is on keeping our core systems running at peak performance, ensuring reliability, speed, and stability for all our clients.
Driven by a passion for software and all things technical, Pierre is constantly refining and improving our infrastructure to stay ahead of the curve.
Pierre lives in Bredasdorp, enjoys woodworking, and loves camping adventures with his family.
Pieter Mocke
Operations Support & Field Coordinator

Pieter joined Jebo Connect during the busy COVID-19 period, when demand for connectivity surged. With no previous experience in the industry, he learned fast — becoming a key support to Willem & Pierre in both the office and out in the field. His dedication during that time played a huge role in helping us grow and keep clients connected.
Today, Pieter plays an important role in making sure operations run smoothly — keeping teams organised, assisting clients, and helping wherever he’s needed.
He doesn’t enjoy cooking, but he makes the most of his free time by visiting family and friends every chance he gets.
Marina Steenkamp

Marina has been with Jebo Connect from day one. With decades of accounting experience behind her, she guided Willem & Pierre through every key financial decision during the early years — ensuring the business stayed stable, sustainable, and able to grow.
When the company was still small, she managed all accounting on her own and made sure that, even in tough times, there was always enough capital to keep the lights on and the bills paid. Her wisdom and discipline played a major role in building the foundation Jebo Connect stands on today.
Marina lives in Struisbaai and enjoys her daily walks on the beach. She works remotely from home, so you won’t find her in the office — but she’s always keeping a close eye on the numbers.
Bonita Oosthuizen
Installations Manager
Joined Jebo Connect: January 2021
Bonita is the organiser of all organisers. She manages every installation from start to finish — scheduling teams, coordinating details, and keeping clients updated every step of the way. If you need something done quickly and correctly, you simply ask Bonita.
Although she recently moved to Cape Town, her work was too good to lose. We tested a fully remote setup and — no surprise — she continues to manage everything flawlessly, even from a distance.
She loves a good laugh and never says no to a proper kuier with friends and family.
Liza Pannell
Accounts & Struisbaai Office Administrator
Joined Jebo Connect: June 2023
Liza joined us when we needed someone reliable to manage our Struisbaai office, and she quickly became an essential part of the team. She’s the friendly face that welcomes walk-in clients and assists with day-to-day service and billing queries.
Behind the scenes, she plays an important role in backend accounting, keeping finances organised and ensuring everything runs smoothly on the admin side.
She also proudly serves as part of the NSRI crew in Struisbaai.
Mareone Hein
Office Administrator & Accounts

Mareone is the warm, friendly face that welcomes you when you walk into our Bredasdorp office. Calm, professional, and always willing to help — she keeps our office running smoothly every day.
She handles stock and supplier coordination, making sure our installation teams always have the equipment they need. With strong accounting and people skills, she adds real value to both our operations and client experience.
Mareone is a proud mom of four and lives on a farm just outside town. And if you ever need something sweet — her mother bakes the best cakes in Bredasdorp!
Bevan Cooper

Bevan recently joined our team, bringing with him a wealth of experience across multiple fields — including core networking, power systems, fibre installation, tower builds, wireless networks, and much more. His broad expertise makes him a valuable asset to both our technical operations and long-term network development.
After spending time away, Bevan has recently moved back to Bredasdorp — and we’re glad to have his skills helping strengthen our local network.
He takes pride in keeping his bakkie spotless, and the rest of us are still learning a thing or two from him about vehicle care!

Joseph joined the team with very little knowledge of the industry, but he learned fast and quickly proved himself. Calm, capable, and focused — he handles technical support queries with efficiency and a positive attitude.
He’s not one to look for attention — he simply gets the job done. If you contact our WhatsApp support, there’s a good chance Joseph will be the helpful voice (or message) on the other side.
Joseph lives in Bredasdorp and enjoys being part of the local community.

Edmond Farao

Edmond brought strong building experience with him when he joined our team, and from day one he gave 200% in everything he did. He quickly mastered the specialised work of FTTH construction — from trenching to reinstating and floating fibre cables.
Today, Edmond and Joahnn leads a team that we can trust completely. They take full ownership of their projects and ensure every site is completed neatly, safely, and to our high standards.
Edmond lives in Struisbaai, enjoys playing rugby, and is actively involved in the community.
Johann Pelser

Johann has been with us since the very first fibre trenches were dug. In the early days, he and Willem were side-by-side in the trenches — literally laying the groundwork for the network we have today.
He now leads our FTTH construction alongside Edmond, and together they make a highly capable team. They handle everything on site with confidence — from trenching and reinstating to ensuring a clean, high-quality finish. Their goal is simple: get clients connected with as little disruption as possible… and when unexpected surprises happen underground, they take responsibility and sort it out fast.
Johann lives in Agulhas and is known for his love of lighting a fire — any day of the week is braai day.
Desmond Newland
Senior Fibre Installation Technician

Desmond is one of the hardest-working people you will ever meet. He never hesitates to take on extra work, and together with his team of three, he has helped install thousands of fibre connections over the years. His heart is always in the right place — he genuinely wants to help people, which is one of the best qualities anyone can have.
Dedicated and dependable, Desmond will not let you down. Even when injured, he pushed through to make sure clients stayed connected.
He lives in Struisbaai and is always ready to light a fire for a braai — or lend a hand by installing CCTV to help fight crime in the community.
Andre Thorpe

Andre joined Jebo Connect at a time when Willem was still doing everything alone — and the next step was finding someone who could take over installations. With no previous wireless experience, Andre learned fast and quickly became a trusted installer clients could rely on.
Over the years, he has completed thousands of installations, worked on numerous high sites, and helped expand connectivity across the Overberg. His work is always neat — from his tools to his bakkie — and his long commitment to the company says a lot about the kind of person he is.
Andre lives in Struisbaai and is a proud pet parent who loves his animal children.
Sulwin Schwartz

Sulwin and Andre have been working side-by-side since 2019 — a strong and reliable Struisbaai team that gets the job done right. Sulwin is known for his neat work and his skill in getting cables exactly where they need to go… especially through ceilings and tight spaces. He probably knows more roofs in Struisbaai than the builders who built them!
His long service and consistent dedication show just how valuable he is to our technical team and to the community we serve.

Chris Pannell

Chris is another talent discovered through NSRI Station 30. His first interview happened on a mountain, and the second was on a Sunday while helping Willem splice fibre — even though he knew nothing about fibre at the time. Willem saw his potential, and Chris learned incredibly quickly.
Today, he has spliced thousands of fibre strands and plays a key role in keeping our network healthy and running smoothly. Chris has a calm, easy-going nature — nothing in life rushes him — yet his work is always completed perfectly and with great precision.
If he could, he would live in the sea, fishing and surfing. He also proudly serves as part of the NSRI crew.
Wayne Ahrends

Wayne has been part of the team for many years now. He started as a helper on the installations team, but he learned so quickly that he soon became the go-to technician for Bredasdorp and the surrounding farms. Like many of our team, he began with no industry experience — and through hard work and dedication, he has built strong technical skills year after year.
Wayne takes real pride in his work and enjoys helping clients get connected and stay connected.
He lives in Bredasdorp and is very proud of his Mercedes-Benz — just ask him, he’ll tell you!

If you want conduit pipe installed neatly, Brian is the person you call. He isn’t afraid of a bit of hard work — from trenching to routing cables through walls and ceilings — he always finds a way to get fibre into the home cleanly and professionally.
Reliable, energetic, and a great team player, Brian has become an important part of our Struisbaai operations and continues to grow his technical skills with every new installation.

Eugene Swartz

Eugene is the younger brother of Sulwin, and just like his brother, he has quickly found his place in the fibre installation team. He has been learning directly under Desmond — one of our most experienced technicians — and has already shown that he picks up new skills fast and takes pride in doing things properly.
Eugene is a quiet worker who doesn’t look for attention — he simply gets on with the job and delivers solid results every time. Even though he’s still new, he has already become a dependable part of the Struisbaai team, and we know his abilities will continue to grow as he gains more experience.
He lives in Struisbaai, and we look forward to getting to know him better as he builds his career with us.
